The client is a market leading supplier of washroom products for healthcare, custodial and public environments. They required a range of shower heads which would be 'best in class' for anti-microbial protocols and would be ideally suited for use in shower rooms where users may attempt to tamper or abuse the fittings.
Hillside Design met with the clients own designers and agreed an outline specification based on a restricted envelope of space in which to create the design and house an innovative anti-microbial outlet.
Hillside Design provided several concepts which were realised as 3D prints to evaluate key features of maintenance and safety. One particular test being the periodic replacement of the outlet to ensure the continuity of the anti-microbial agent within them. The results of these real life tests enabled the client to select the features they wanted. Hillside Design combined these and developed a solution based on a common mounting bracket with two covers. The project concluded with Hillside Design preparing the manufacturing specifications as 3D CAD and control drawings.
